Our History
SSP Publications began business in 2006, the successor to SS Publications (Ltd.). Publishers of the extremely popular and successful Atlantic Canadian golf guides, SS Publications first released the Nova Scotia Golf Guide to much acclaim in 1995. Since then, they have published a diverse selection of non-fiction, including books about Nova Scotia history, PEI historic architecture, biographies, art books, calendars and other guide books.
Our Mandate
SSP has broadened its publishing mandate to include the substantial and colourful PEI architectural histories of H.M. Scott Smith, Garvie Samson’s rich local history of River Bourgeois, Cape Breton, his wonderful biography of “Sister Annie” and Brenda Thompson’s Finding Fortune and A Wholesome Horror.
SSP will continue its mandate to publish primarily non-fiction, but is presently considering a biography, historical fiction and some art projects.
